MW2 Headset?

I'm really keen to buy a headset for MW2, that i can use on live and just to experience the game. I've been looking at 5.1 headsets like the Turtle Beach X4 and the new 7.1 Turtle Beach X41.
Do any of you own either? Or something similar?

They're not cheap, so would love to hear some thoughts from owners!

i got the turtle beach x3 last christmas and its amazing. i dont think you can go wrong with turtle beach tbh

After loads of research i've gone with:
Astro MixAmp:

Audio-Technica ATH-AD700:

And the MW2 throat communicator as a mic, as i've heard great things about it.

I've heard alot of bad things about the MW2 throat communicator.

I wouldn't buy anything thats Mad catz branded TBH. Its just cheap and nasty crap

I have the Astro Audio System (Mixamp/Headset) and let me tell you, they are beast.

The mixamp is the real meat here, but the headset is not a slouch by any means. They're awesome.

Totally, i'm blown away by how much more immersed in the game i've started to feel since i got my mixamp.

Still without a decent mic though, wondering if i should have gone for the mixamp/headset combo in the first place.
