Zombies?

I'm an avid fan of the Black ops zombies and the WaW zombies, and was wondering what everyone thought of the new zombies they have. Personally, I feel the Black Ops 1 zombies was a good improvement overall from the WaW zombies, but I haven't heard about the new one. Was hoping for opinions from people who have played their fair share of each game's zombie mode.

I played it when I first got it, and it was really addicting. They changed it a little, sure, the fantasy aspect of it is a bit more out there. But it's so cool what you can end up doing, you aren't just in the White House the whole time. I don't want to give too much away to you, but I can't wait for you to try it.

Personally, I preferred the BO zombies mode. I felt like the levels were too small in the recent one and I definitely enjoyed playing as cold war era figures. I have not yet tried the recent additions with the map pack so I may change my mind. Come to think of it, it's been quite a while since the map pack even came out, maybe it's time I give it a go!

I was reading about the new Tranzit and Grief features. The Tranzit sounds a lot like a more involved way to travel, like the ascension map's launch pads. That sounds like a cool aspect to add, I might like that. Griefing, on the other hand, sounds like it could be a hit or miss. I'm not sure how I feel about the idea of a war against both zombies and other players, playing with other people can anger me enough as is sometimes! Hah

BTCGuru81 is 10000% correct. The BO zombies mode was amazing. The levels were a little bit bigger if you like that sorta thaaang ;)
ahah jk. The new maps are jokes, keep it simple I always say. I like arcade meets FPS. It's more fun. Nothing is worse then a game that takes it self FAR TOO SERIOUSLY *cough* every COD game.

and g'night

I liked the World at War zombies mode better. The Black Ops zombies have very interesting maps but some of them just get confusing and there's a certain feel about them that just makes it feel wrong to me in a way. To me Nacht Der Untoten, or whatever the name of the first map from World at Was was, is unbeatable. The maps from World at War all had deep stories behind them too with carefully positioned props and things that would just seem random until you discover the back story. Just my opinion though.

I have not played all the zombie gamemodes but the maps and gamemodes I have played like Die Rise, Nuketown, and Tranzit were all really fun and interesting especially Die Rise. I personally prefer World at War zombies over Black Ops 2's but Black Ops 2 does have good zombie modes especially since I did not buy the game for its zombie modes.

I'm diggin' the new zombies and I think it'\s a lot of fun.

The way you can view the different maps for zombies in BOII is great and it looks kickass!

At first I thought the zombies coming up from hell were kinda silly, but I really like the areas the new ones take you. The bus is my favorite part, getting on the top and taking out anyone following you is pretty cool.

I thought it was a little too far to push a zombie theme and that it just wouldn't gel with with the typical COD style. I think it's great though and although the A.I of the zombies let's me down, it's really addicting.

I am a huge fan of the original BO zombies, don't know, I just feel that zombies on BO2 kinda isn't the same anymore, maybe cause I've played a lot of BO, don't know really, haha.

I feel like it's more addicting than ever.

I play the new Zombies mode all the time and I can't find a way to stop. Playing online with friends and helping each other get through the levels is the most fun for me, although I know others who prefer solo.

I didn't like zombies at all until Die Rise came out. I like the co-op aspect. Part of wishes they had an actual ending where you could beat the game instead of it going on forever & getting more difficult until you die. But, it's pretty cool to keep playing with the idea of seeing how far you can get each match.

I'm looking forward to Uprising coming out next week.

I am actually disappointed with the zombie modes.. they are dull and dry and carry no real quality-time. It's not scary at all and the co-oping isn't even interesting.

I wish I was good at zombies. I play top-tier console multiplayer rounds and win consistently. Zombies? There have been times where I've embarrassingly died during the first few rounds.

I think my biggest disappointment with zombies is that I never really feel like I'm accomplishing anything. It could be argued that everything in Call of Duty is sort of redundant, but murdering other players makes me feel like I'm actually being productive. Hah!

Pretty much in agreement with mattco - I don't usually feel like I'm wasting time after playing a videogame, but zombies is repetitive and pretty pointless without a friend.

I love zombies, anything to do with them... In fact it's become an obsession. Nazi Zombies from WaW was amazing and they've got a lot better over the years, I now play lots of DayZ and I'm hooked. Zombies are just so interesting and fun!

I really love the map "Town" in Zombies. It's basically a game of luck really. You have to get a LMG and the raygun, pack a punch those, and then you will dominate those stinkin zombies from there. It's really fun to play with friends because you don't die that often and it's really easy to dominate.

When World at War was still new, I enjoyed Nacht, but not enough to bother getting good at it, and I never purchased the DLC (man, I missed out). With Black Ops, I loved the multiplayer and feel of the game, so I bought the DLC, and the Zombies mode grew on me. I love all of the Black Ops Zombies maps, and I returned to World at War to play the DLC as well. I think Black Ops 2 has a decent Zombies mode, and the new features are appreciated, but I don't much care for Tranzit, which they more than made up for with Mob.

With all of the talk of the WaW zombies, I may go and purchase Call of Duty: World at War. I have heard it is a really great game. With all of you talking about how awesome the zombies was, I think I may just buy it. I usually don't buy old games, but I guess this can be an exception.
