Hello All and Happy New Year!

When I log on to play multiplayer on my own, everything works fine, but if my son wants to join it will connect to services, fetch his online profile but will not go past the screen that says “Exchanging”. We tried to have him log in first, which he can, and then have me join but when we do that it doesnt even attempt to fetch my profile or anything. It just immediately says “Connection Failed”. We have played multiplayer split screen a million times before but over the last few weeks it just will not work. We have freed up storage space and even deleted the game and reinstalled. Nothing has worked. Anybody have any ideas that we might be able to try to get this working? Any help would be awesome.

Thank You!

I have no solution, but just letting you know I am having the exact same problem. Do you happen to be using a ps5?

Yea, using the PS5. Working with activision support right now to see if they can clear it up. I will let you know if they get it fixed. Seems pretty clear that its something on their end at this point.

Thats amazing! Please let me know. I have messaged actuvision a few times but nothing has come of it. The more annoying thing is that it was working fine, and then one day (without any updates or anything) it just stopped. I was thinking it must be my internet but I literally tried everything and nothing worked. So annoying!

And yeah my friend has an xbox and it works perfect on hers, but us ps5 owners have to suffer

I'm going to assume that it hasn't got very far with activision?

How is was able to get past the exchange issue: log into 1st controllers account and go into the vanguard lobby. Turn on the second controller for multi split screen and have that controller logged into a separate psn account. Normally in the lobby the second player would just it X to join as split screen but that's what's giving us the exchange issue. So the first player needs to send the second player an "invite to game" message from the game base home screen on a ps5. The second player will then join the party getting an error message saying "can't joint own session" and exit. Now in the vanguard lobby the second player hits X to join the session and it shouldn't have the exchange issue. Make it make sense...
