People say cod 4 Modern Warfare is MW4 why is that

I got alot of friends that reckon cod 4 Modern Warfare is MW4

Modern Warfare 3 has been in store shelves for merely a week, and everyone's already talking about.... MW4? WTF?

However, there isn't a cliffhanger ending in MW3. There's no indication in the game that would mean there's a new game in the series incoming. I'm going to leave this for the article I was going to write. Because it's more alarming than it is anything else.

People also believed not long after MW2 came out that MW3 was going to be some realistic, stand around and guard this shed for 100's of hours. lol. Anyone else remember that? Let's face it though, most cod players think they are a cod expert. Like all of the people who were saying that in MW3 Ghost was the vilian, or it was his perspective. How wrong were they?

The only people who know if there will even be a MW4 is Infinity Ward. ANd I highly doubt they are even thinking of that right now.

The only explanation for people saying Modern Warfare 1 is MW4 is because it is called Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. MW2 wasn't called Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2... Just Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. No number 6... So all the simpletons who are saying cod4 is mw4 are just very confused by the number 4 in the title.
