New Era of Multiplayer

Looks great but to be honest I wouldn't put a huge amount of faith in the views of youtubers whose income comes from people watching them play Call of Duty and need as many people as possible to buy the game. Personally I think the game looks amazing and I'm really looking forward to it, I find watching gameplay to be a far better way to see if I'll like the game compared to listening to what others have to say about it.

Good to hear that others are enthusiastic about the game too, especially people who are fans of the series. I wouldn't call it a New Era but it's definitely a cool move from the developers. I'm also always kind of doubtful about these kinds of videos because the people who are interviewed are either fans of the series or they play the game to earn money (from streaming/youtube) so they are kind of prejudiced. Hoping for more gameplay videos in the near future but if what they say is true then it's definitely a good game.

I guess I'm not the only one who is enthusiastic about COD:AW being released in just a few weeks. As Qarnage said I would call it a "new era" yet but it's definitely a point to start for a "new era". I believe that in the future, starting from this game they shall make a couple of changes that will revolution the entire Call of Duty game. I just hope they don't rush into this kind of things, because they might take it to a complete new level which we might not be ready for yet (I'm talking about all the sophisticated weapons and "enemies" that are yet to come).

Advanced Warfare just makes me excited for what the next two games in the three-year development cycle start are going to look like and how they'll play. Since AW is shaping up to be an above average CoD title, I'm excited to see what each main developer can come up with on their first try with the new dev. cycle.

New 3 game story, still they are not making it from scratch. So its going to feel like CoD, and can only reimagine a work coming to crumbles story so many times. I hope they go further into space this time around.

i mean a new era? i doubt it. i would assume its just a over hyped "game changing" feel to the trailers just like it does every year. i sincerely hope it takes a step in a positive direction. but judging by history i am not going to expect too much.

"New era"

This is basically a faster paced Crysis + Titanfall multiplayer. It's a big change in Call of Duty but it's nothing too different or impressive.
I do like this look better though, reminds me a bit of the multiplayer of Quake and Unreal but a bit slower and more consolised and casual.

i guess only time will tell. for my own sake i am not going to get my hopes up just like i did with all the other prior cods just to be let down by a glitch infested toob fest

Here's my opinion on multiplayer and I don't mean to offend - if you're a very good player or pick up games easily then you'll more likely enjoy it. However the thing about Call of Duty is that it appeals to a lot of people as it's so easy to play - this will change that, it's the first that really has something different to master. Previously it was just dropshotting/jumpshotting? I'd compare the extra mechanics to what wallbouncing brings in GOW.

And you might not like it if you're just not a fan of futuristic games.

How does this new era stand out from the past CoD series? It's indeed a futuristic game and a fast-paced one. If there's something looking forward to and uniquely presented, then it's a cool deal.

I love the beginning life of a CoD game because people aren't hell-bent on cheating, boosting, noob-tubing, camping, etc. Right now it's so much fun, and I'd say after the holidays we'll see how it truly stacks up in multiplayer.

Guys guess what its the same as last year with a simple addition of double jumping and dashing. No new era no major game changers just the same COD as before. It almost feels like Old school free for all from COD 4.

Poeple please undertand they will never fix the game or the series if all you "FANBOYS" just buy it each and every year eyes closed no questions asked. They just want your money they dont care weather the game is good or if you like it or not just how much they can get out of you.
If you're referring to the CoD fans here as "fanboys" who blindly buy the game, why are you on this forum? I can find differences in every single CoD game, and of course they're going to have similarities because it's a franchise. All GTAs are the same, all BF are the same.

You uncharted avatar explains everything to me. You don't need to say anything. Remember that you are on a COD forum here. We love this game.
