Out of curiosity, what is everyone's thoughts on the Microtransactions? More specifically, how many of you have actually made a purchase of one?

I think what they did was terrible. Thankfully, the microtransactions were only camos and extra class spaces. I don't know anyone who would purchase there (except little kids). The last thing I want to see a $59.99 game with 4 DLCs of $14.99 each (so basically a $120 game) become is a "Paid2Win" styled game, where you have to purchase certain guns in order to beat others. I love the series, but I will stop playing it in this case.

Don't judge me but I bought a camo. One single camo, the party rock one. Mostly because I like LMFAO a whole lot. My roommate bought like five, and they're all on my Xbox so hell if I'm complaining.

I digress, I figured out how they get you. With their DLC being $14.99 and the only way to buy Microsoft Points through your Xbox is via a $4.99 or a $19.99 payment, a lot of us will go ahead and drop the $20, assuming the remaining $5 goes towards the next DLC or something.

"Woah, downloadable camos!? I've got a few extra points to spend, why not!?" Then boom. Those microtransactions stack up.

It's evil, and we all know it. I hate it. I hate the idea so much. But it's so darn enticing it's hard not to do it.

You're right though, it's not a P2W style because guns aren't purchasable "yet". So that's not too bad.

Personally, as long as the microtransactions stay as they are - weapon camos and/or class slots (nothing that actively breaks game balance), then I don't have any issues with it. In regards to purchasing any of them, I haven't myself - but 2 of my Steam friends gifted me two of the camos (the Kawaii pack and Bacon pack) as a joke.

Personally I like the introduction of new camo's but I don't like the idea of micro-transactions in a game like Call of Duty, although it doesn't affect the gameplay it does infuriate me knowing that the makers of the game are trying to make money out of something that they could easily give away for free (in terms of the camo's), but who knows? Activisions business model is questionable?

No way.

It's too expensive, not really worth it, and I don't cherish virtual items as much as physical items just because I don't feel it's really there.

I once bought a gun from TF2 to support them because I had a ton of fun, but I later regretted it just because I realized it was going to be craftable anyways...
