Reaching out because I know nothing about COD! My husband is pretty obsessed and has mentioned VR a couple of times. I’m thinking about getting him a VR set for Christmas. Is it worth it? All he plays is COD and, from what I can see online, there’s just the Jackal Assault VR Experience on Infinite Warfare. It’s a lot of money if it can only be used for this! Anyone with any thoughts? Is VR worth it for someone who only plays COD?

VR can be a really good way to get immersed in gaming, I can't think of any way in which you can get closer to the game and VR puts you in the game.
That said, if the only game your husband plays is CoD then this is not something he can do through VR at the moment.
Assuming he is playing on PC most VR solutions are quite expensive, but there is another way to get VR and that's through using the Oculus Quest 2.
Oculus Quest 2 is a standalone VR solution that can be played like a console or linked to a PC that meets the hardware requirements to be used as a PC VR headset and it comes in at half the price of PC VR headsets.
Be aware that VR needs a decent amount of space, minimum of 2m square floor space to get the most from it.
