COD Black Ops error

Hello everyone, I have finally been able to get a gaming laptop and proper internet speed. It's been about 12 years since I've done any online gaming. Through Steam, I loaded COD Black Ops (the first one). And it won't launch, also doesn't give me an error. I'm on Win11 pro. I've watched a bunch of YT vids but still not working. I'm hoping someone here can help with my issue please.

Thanks

Marc AKA Rainier Wolfecastle

What does it do? Like, when you hit the task manager after you tried to start the game? And how do you try to start the game? Do you have an icon on the desktop of Bo6?

I launch through Steam, it just sits there for a bit, then I get the play button again. Also this is not Bo6 it's the first black ops.

There should also be a scan and repair option somewhere. Try that it may fix any issues. Also try running as Administrator. Is your router blocking the access? Finally, run every possible update on that laptop. This would include video drivers, directX and so on.

Created an Icon on the desktop, looked for scan and repair option (couldn't find), tried running as administrator (no luck), I don't think the router is blocking access since the game isn't even launching? This rig is brand new so all drivers are updated (I went through the process when I got the machine)

Also tried to download EA games launcher but I can't see where to launch the game from there as well. I think I'm getting too old for the tech now lol

Thank you all for the help BTW :)

How old exactly is the CPU? There was a recent update from NVidia at the same time as the BO6 update came through.

Check your Nvidia Drivers. How i said, there was an update which was pushed the same time BO6 was updated.

Ok, I had to copy my specs, paste to notepad, then copy from notepad to paste here.
