Upgrade Video Card

OH!!! Without a doubt you should be looking at the 4xxx series. They are out now so compare reviews, features etc. Or simply buy one that I suggest, send it to me to test and I will get back to you with my thoughts!!!

Yeah, I thought you would like it, I hope you've found it useful, you never know, with your contacts, you might just get what you decide on at a reasonable price.

just go get a 4090ti and 1600 watt psu and be done with it. its only money. and im happy with my evga 3090 ftw 3 damn it. and you peeps gonna get 4090,s and piss me off and ill have go get one too. keyboard already knows how i waste money on pc decisions.

It's true, I've often advised you against certain upgrades, and you have decided to ahead anyway. I do take issue with you suggesting that it's a waste of money though. If you want it, can afford it, AND you're happy to pay the price, then it's not really a waste of money, even if I think it is not necessarily the best way to upgrade your system.

If I think that a planned upgrade is not the best option, or the best time to exercise that option, then as a friend, I'll say as much. If you decide to do it anyway, I'll stand by your choice and celebrate the joy you feel when you get it.

I find this a little hard to agree with, you're suggesting a very expensive upgrade, I would never suggest such a thing to someone, especially if I didn't really know their financial situation.

When choices are presented in a question, such as should I get this or that, then I try to tailor my answers around the price points of the components in the question. The price points sets an assumed budget, some movement in a budget might be possible, but a jump to more than twice the assumed budget is more than a bit of a stretch.

Also, should @AntiCheatAgent94 go for the 4090Ti and 1600 watt PSU, what would be do if he finds he is CPU bottlenecked, he'd end up needing to throw more money at it in order to upgrade the system and get the most from his GPU, right?

Isn't this what you have gone through? upgrading components to overcome a weakness and then discovering a new bottleneck post upgrade that leads to further upgrades.

I know some of your upgrades were more for cosmetic reasons rather than performance, but since you started your build, I think you've been through 2 mobos, 2 RAM kits, 2 maybe 3 cases, 3 CPUs, and 2 or 3 GPUs, and all for incremental upgrades.

I think better planning and some patience could have got you to where you are now with fewer components, though I'm pleased for you as I know you're happy with the final outcome, for now.

I don't know if ACA94 has the budget to follow in your footsteps, and that brings me back to why I think your suggestion is too expensive.

Do you get me?

i know its true all i need is a motherboard, gpu and hard drive and i would have a 5600x build now also. i can say i am very happy with the 5000d case white because it goes with any color scheme i choose and the 3090 ftw 3 ultra.
