Playing cod, Crossplay disabled, How to fix pc’s from invading rooms?

I guess this has been happening since the patch on the 29th or update? Maybe it’s an exploit with the new ping process but pc players are using work around a to play in PlayStation only rooms. It severely hurts the reputation of any player to cheat and unfortunately pc’s are the easiest way to cheat the game. They have lay lines to opponents, extremely high dmg, rapid fire along with moderated fire and so many cheats it’s mind blowing. I play pc games myself but have never exploited nor cheated inside of a live multiplayer room. So my question is and hopefully can be answered
I have crossplay disabled and check it regularly, especially now, but the average pc players in the ps only rooms are 10 to 2 to 9 to 3. Is there anyway I can strengthen the crossplay r am I missing a setting so this doesn’t happen or do the developers, psn, activision, etc... have to create a fix/hot fix to stop the flood gates of pc exploits?

I have seen a few examples where I checked someones profile in a crossplay disabled lobby on PS and they showed up as either a PC or xbox player, but that just seems like a bug as their profile will update and show theim as PS players if you back out and open their profile again.

First of all I appreciate the respectful apprehension because we all want to believe that exploits aren’t being used. I will post screenshots from profiles and how the exploit right after a game shows that they are indeed on a pc but if I wait 30 seconds the exploit pops back into its ps profile. From my research it shows it cost around 9 usd for a pc user who isn’t tech savvy to purchase the exploit and run it through either Nox, bluestacks, etc... type emulator or for the more savvy tech players they can run command prompts through the dos screen with ipconfig to infiltrate the newer ping update. At first I though this may be a bug but if I back out of the game and run through the recent player list it does not hide which system is being used. I am reporting but in the fashion where I leave psn a message to let them know to search for specific algorithms and code strings being used. I honestly think we will see a fix in the next week or so, if not sooner, to close this gap up.

As I said I have seen people show up as PC players on their profile for a short time after loading, but I assumed it was just a glitch/bug.

Could it just be that players using keyboard and mouse are showing up as PC players?

In the lobby before I start a game I can usually see the PC players, PS players and XBox plus it also shows the controller type they are on.

As a PC player, I can see no reason why I would want to be in a PS only lobby, though as many of my RL friends play on PS I do enjoy joining games with them.

I completely understand what you mean and comprehend the aspects of icons in profiles. Before I posted this I have done my due diligence to check for all variations because I have a keyboard and mouse for my ps4, ps4 pro and ps5. I also have an Xbox x, Xbox one and I have a very nice gaming of I built for simulation flying and racing. Though I do play cod on pc. Just for kicks and giggles I installed the patch to enter into the psn through my pc. I also installed every “cheat” that could be had for the pc to see how it reacts while playing in a crossplay disabled psn lobby. The game was extremely savage!!! I had 39 kills to 1 death also had the end game best play and though it was unfortunate for the ps players I knew exactly where they were so I could use the perk card and use complete silence to sneak and kill. The one time I died during that game was when someone had a Semtex and stuck me! Lol! Immediately after the game my profile showed a pc screen and mouse just like it does after every time I play on pc but as soon as I clicked into the next lobby waiting for a game it instantly showed I was using a controller on a PlayStation! Very neat exploit! Fortunately I used a VPN and a fake free account to d this with. I only played 6 to 8 times and was sent a notice for exploiting! Guess someone caught on! So I did it again but this time I had to pay for a month of psn. So as to the response as you see no reason to play on your pc in a psn lobby is perfect because I see no reason to either. Though the players who seek this exploit are just doing this to gain an advantage over players in the PlayStation only lobby’s because the PlayStation players can not run the type of cheats pc users can. As with you I see no reason to do this because it’s cheating but we all know cheating has been widespread on pc for decades and decades and became common place instantly when Xbox and PlayStation flipped on the community boards. I am taking screenshots and sending in reports along with a simple message to combat this as of now. It seems to be working because I go to my recently played with players tab and the ones reported are no longer available after 24 to 48 hrs. So it’s working but they need to run a hot fix for this issue. I believe it started on a massive scale the day they enabled ping watching when loading into a lobby.

Wow... well there's due diligence and then there's running the risk of getting your account and/or your PC hardware banned, it seems like you were fortunate that the ban hammer didn't find you, but I see where you're coming from.

I just play for fun, I don't take the game that seriously, but someone that would go to the lengths you're describing is someone that takes their stats all too seriously, I hope you're able to find a way to persuade Activision and the devs to take some remedial action.

I appreciate the optimism on anti cheating with activision but they don’t care. PlayStation network just said they were releasing an update next week to fill some gaps.

funny thing is from starting to stop it only took me about 25 minutes to install and run the commands, exploits and apply cheats on pc that includes exploiting the psn! For about 10 usd I could have done it in 5 minutes! Lol! I did get a ban hammer but I used a VPN to relocate my ip and mask my location. Took about an extra 5 seconds to load a lobby. But all of it was done under assumed names and adresses so there is no way they could ping my pc. Don’t get me wrong my pc is my baby! My first one was a Tandy 1000! I’ve come a long way since floppy’s and no hard drives! And you are absolutely correct in saying it is demeaning to a player to cheat just for stats. But it’s happening horribly.
again to my main question....? Is there anyway to make the crossplay more secure when it’s disabled?

Make sure you upload some highlights to YouTube, that sounds like an interesting tournament.

I can understand how people are avoiding bans by Activision now, I didn't get it at first, so I think you're saying that people are hacking PSN authentication services, they are not making any changes to the game or the Blizzard launcher, therefore it is not being detected by them.

That sucks and I do see where you're coming from.

Some pc users who do “cheat” are exploiting the pan authenticity factors to get inside a PlayStation only lobby. Ty for summarizations that are absolutely on point. I apologize for taking the scenic route to explain my issues with this.
I have gave u a like for every reply because you are not abrasive and wanted to understand what I was saying.
I will post a few videos from the trials but they are only taking 2 from North America which as we know includes USA Canada and a few other provinces. I use a controller for that game but I am ranked 800ish right now. About .900 seconds of the leader. I would need at least a 800 usd wheel to make that up but I will be ready for next olympics!

There is a general way in which these conversations usually play out, the OP has an issue, gripes about the issue, then someone will ask questions and the OP becomes defensive, this repeats and either escalates into aggressive and emotive arguments where an admin needs to step in or the energy fizzles out and the thread slowly fades away into a distant memory.

What has been different here is that you have avoided the emotion and focused on the facts of the issue, where I have failed to see or understand your issue you have responded to my questions with facts that have helped me build up a picture of your situation.

I feel (emotion) that I have truly learnt something in this thread (value) and in my day job, where I work in sales, this allows me to use empathy to infer a solution in the form of a right product, solution, accessory etc...

While I can't offer a solution in your case, you have allowed me to get close to walking in your shoes through your open, candid, and honest replies, it has been a refreshing conversation, from that point of view, though I still have sympathy for the reason behind starting the conversation in the first place.

I sincerely hope you will stick around, the only change I would like to see from you or your posts is breaking up your paragraphs, as I find walls of text hard to read and maybe on your next thread we will be able to find a way to fix any issues you might be experiencing or maybe help someone else with their issues.
