How does the COD:AW eSports scene compare to the CS:GO one?

I'm very familiar with the CS:GO scene, as it's a lot more competitive than CoD generally is. However, CoD is simply more fun, for me personally. It's just faster paced and that's the point - so how does the eSports scene come into play? Preferably on the PC, I don't want to stir up a debate, but controllers just simply can't do it.

the problem with competing with CS:Go is that CS has been around and competitive for a LONNNNNNNNNNNNNNG time. that and the fact that it's a consistent shooter. There isn't a whole bunch of fluff that distracts from the base competition of a play and their gun vs another player and their gun.

That's a good point - I just really wish the CoD scene would develop like the CS scene has - and that's certainly playing up the CS scene as it has a long way to go, too. It's there for sure but it's nothing compared to DOTA and LoL.

cod will never have a scene comparable to cs, im sorry but counter strike is by far the better shooter and it shows in the amount of people playing daily on cs, even thought the counterstrike games are old they have far more people playing them simply because they're better!

CS can't really be compared to COD because (and I'm not saying this as a bad thing), COD is full of gimmicks (Killstreaks and what not), while CS is simply pure FPS talent (perhaps minus the grenades).
