    Benchmark

So yes, to all comments. Bottlenecks are areas where performance is restricted due to a constraint either intended, as in the neck of an actual bottle that allows you to control the flow of liquid or unintended. An unintended bottleneck is where a component's performance restricts another...

    Benchmark

This is the point that both @CascadiaSRL and I are making, but try these 2 tests and see if your 'Bottlenecks' change. First try a benchmark with DLSS at maximum performance setting and then again at maximum quality setting. I am not expecting to see the same percentage levels across both...

    Benchmark

The relationship between resolution and processing workload is nothing new, higher resolutions such as 3840x2160 produce more pixels, 8,294,400 pixels in this case, compared to 2,073,600 pixels at 1920x1080. That means your PC needs to work at least 4 times harder to render the same scene at 4k...

    Benchmark

I don't understand why the game is highlighting Bottlenecks in its built in benchmarks, though I'm pleased it has included a benchmark, it can be handy for trouble shooting. With up to 233fps in your results, it looks like you have nothing to worry about. I still haven't got the game, I'm just...

    my new corsair 5000d case

You could get a an open test bench chassis with a small touchscreen screen and a Raspberry Pie to monitor essential metrics and that would be more versatile than the gauges and come in at less than $400, leaving over $1200 more for components.

Anyone Have An Older GTX 1650-ish (AMD Equivalent) To Sale??

Repair is the best solution, well done. We need to reduce e-waste where ever and whenever we can.

    Shipment 24/7

I haven't played MW2, but Shipment on MW was my go to map for grinding most weapons, for a quick burst of addrenalin to wake me up, to help sharpen my senses and recalibrate my aiming.

Anyone Have An Older GTX 1650-ish (AMD Equivalent) To Sale??

What sort of budget do you have? You might want to think about an older generation like a GTX980, this would outperform the 1650 and can be found for a similar price on eBay, if you're lucky.

OK ... We're All Friends Here..

I've just watched the video, it definitely would have made more sense with your audio working. I think it is a nice moment though, chilling with strangers, reminds of the story of Christmas on the front line in world war 1, where allied and nazi forces called for a 24 hour cease fire, sang...

OK ... We're All Friends Here..

Just stick to 1 thing at a time, give your wife some time off and that should eliminate the heavy breathing. w(°o°)w (◠‿◕)

OK ... We're All Friends Here..

Sorry, I'm guessing I missed the time slot. @freakdaddy64 has recorded game clips with audio, I'm not sure if it is with GeForce Experience or some other software. I did recall seeing a section in GE for selecting which audio sources are recorded, you might have to select mic input...

DMZ Would love help. DMZ+WZ2 problems. PC

Sorry, I'm a bit late to this conversation, however I have read the thread and want to go back to a question that @AntiCheatAgent94 put to you regarding isolating net issues as a cause. My reasoning is when I built my PC back in June 2020 I built it using my current MSi B450 Tomahawk Max, Ryzen...

Well THAT Didn't Take Long MWII Edition

I wish I had the time to play, but as I've just been saving line a madman so I could get two weeks away traveling, it has been a sacrifice that I'm glad I made.

    AMD Ryzen 5 5500 What Core i/Gen???

The AMD system makes more sense, it is only 1 generation behind the current gen 7000 series CPUs, the i5 you have is 4 generations old. Given that the constraints are that the build has to use existing used parts, I think the choice that has been made is the best choice.

    AMD Ryzen 5 5500 What Core i/Gen???

Thanks for your insight there @freakdaddy64, ;) lol The Intel i5 11600k was launched with a price around twice the price of the Ryzen 5 5500 at its launch 12 months later and offered around about 15% higher effective speed overall then the AMD CPU according to this comparison...

    mw 2 video

Campaign mode plays at higher quality settings so naturally the frame rates are lower, multiplayer mode has the higher frame rates at over 250fps which is awesome, and the game looks amazing too.

probably dont need to upgrade cpu

Previous reviews of the 5800X3D didn't show an overall big improvement over the 5800X in many games, but this comparison suggests that this might have been due to the lack of a GPU with enough performance to harness the power of the newer processor. Check out the conclusion from this review to...

    vertical gpu

That's a good idea, increasing the between mobo and GPU fans will be able to work more effectively. I think my issue is that each interconnect between the GPU and mobo adds resistance which leading to a drop in performance, but I don't have the tools on hand to test this theory. The direct...

    vertical gpu

I vertically mounted my RTX 3080, but now I have seen the stand that @freakdaddy64 is using to prevent sag, I might get 1 of those and then take out my vertical mount as there was a drop in performance when I added mine. It was not a big drop, we are talking low, single digit percentages here...

probably dont need to upgrade cpu

You already have a Ryzen 7 5800X3D right? The only move you can make is to a 5900X or 5950X but the 5800X3D is still the best gaming CPU in AMD's range, even after the launch of the 7000 series CPUs. If you do decide to go to the 7000 series, then that would need a new mobo, DDR5 RAM and...
